ABOUT US
The Story

Co-Founders Fred and Dan know how hard it is to meet the right person. We went to high school together. Neither of us had a date for the first two years. (Okay, the first three.) We also know that it doesn't get easier as you get older. It's always a struggle to make a romantic connection.

Flash forward to more recent times. Fred and Dan both live in New York. We're at a party together. Fred is single and brilliant at setting people up: three married couples under his belt. Dan is married and stinks at setting people up: .000 batting average. Kool & the Gang is blasting on the surround-sound. (Maybe it's the Isley Brothers.) Our friends are there, as well as lots of people we don’t know—and everybody is having fun, meeting new people, perhaps flirting, perhaps making plans for a later date.

That's when Fred and Dan realize something. On-line dating shouldn't be a drag. It should be about good times. It should be about finding a soul mate if you’re looking, or flirting casually, or setting up your friends, or just hanging out. Above all, it should be more like real life—like a party where the Isley Brothers (or Kool and the Gang) is blasting. Why not? After all, dating, socializing, and matchmaking all go hand-in-hand.

And that’s how uRadiate was born: to fix what's broken in on-line dating. To bring the best elements of social networking. To make the whole process more revealing, engaging, and rewarding. To do away with hidden computer algorithms and long psychographic questionnaires. To empower daters to determine compatibility for themselves, on their own terms. And to do it all for free. We bring the smarts, the practicality, and the love, because we've been there, and we've seen what's missing.
