- Be as detailed as possible in the usual descriptions of yourself: how old you are, your ethnicity, your height and weight—the stuff people need to know.
- Take and create Raves! Whatever your niche interests, loves, fascinations, or peeves—write and take Raves about them.
- Join Clusters for the same reason—in a conversational, collective open forum.
- Present yourself as a Matchmaker. Do some good for you and your friends.
- Don’t be shy about joining for dating, matchmaking AND friends
- Do all the other stuff, too—blog, send messages, upload photos, share recipes…anything you’d expect from any other site.
- Don’t over-share, however. Your profile shouldn’t say any more or less than what a friend would before introducing someone to you. Yes, be specific about your tastes and
preferences…but above all, be honest and forthcoming. Strike a balance. That’s our philosophy: It’s not what you’re like; it’s what you like.
- NEVER give away any sensitive information on your Profile Page. It’s okay to set up an alternate email address. But your profile should NOT include your full name, home
address, telephone number, or any other private info—whether it’s Social Security or your account number at the local deli. The uRadiate staff does the best it can, but
creeps and undesirables prowl for this sort of thing.
- If you’re looking for a date, your ex should never be in the picture. (Nor should your family…that comes later, after the magic)
Choose a decent, clear photograph.
- Yes, your life is always changing—job, family, relationships, apartment—but again, don't be specific in regards to names, locations, or other sensitive information.
- Use proper spelling and grammar. This will let a perfect match know that you're smart and that you care—and that you didn’t toss the information off during a couple of spare minutes at the office.
