SAFETY

You deserve a better date™ also means that you deserve a safer, more comfortable, and more productive on-line dating experience. Nothing is more important to us. We're here to connect you with the best possible match, help you set up your friends, allow you to be set up by friends you trust, and help you make new friends. To that end, we ask that you read and adhere to the following safety tips:

  • There is no substitute for acting with caution and common sense when communicating on-line with a stranger. Anyone who is able to commit identity theft can also falsify a dating profile.
  • Never include your last name, e-mail address, home address, phone number, place of work, or any other identifying information in your profile or initial messages. Never share social security, bank account, or credit card numbers with any member while on the site.
  • Stop communicating with anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information, or attempts in any way to trick you into revealing it.
  • If you choose to have a face-to-face meeting with another member, always tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going and when you will return.
  • Always provide your own transportation to and from your date. If you do not have transportation, ask a trusted friend or family member to drop you off and pick you up.
  • Always meet in a public place with other people around.
  • Block any suspicious or unsavory users from contacting you by clicking on the “Block User” button.
  • If a user is inappropriate or threatening in any way, click on the “Report User to uRadiate” button in the “My Tools” box on their profile page.
  • We do not fingerprint, electronically survey, wiretap, or conduct criminal background checks on our users. We do insist, however, that all those who visit or join uRadiate remain vigilant and keep their eyes open for creeps and undesirables. Help us help you by self-policing.
